Enormous Market Potential in the Heart of Europe
Germany is the largest and most important market in the European
Union. With a gross domestic product of 2,216 billion euro
in 2004, Germany accounted for almost 25% of the overall GDP
of all members of the European Union.
Germany has a population of 82 million, almost a fifth of
all EU citizens. German consumers exert enormous buying power,
buying more than 1,200 billion euro of private consumer goods
in 2004 (Source: : Statistisches
Bundesamt). All in all, the market potential means tremendous
opportunities for getting established on the German market.
